Taking Branded Content Up a Gear

We have been working on something extra special with our client and sister-company Gala Performance, the renowned specialist motorsport supplier. We were challenged to make their product brochure more engaging and give their audience something to keep coming back for, and today they will very proudly announced the launch of their brand-new motorsport magazine, GPQ.

The quarterly publication is poised to become a valuable resource for the motorsport industry, providing readers with an insider's look into the exhilarating world of motorsport. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned veteran, the GPQ motorsport magazine promises to deliver engaging, insightful and relevant content that will help people motorsport, no matter what their vehicle or discipline of choice.

GPQ is more than just a magazine or a product brochure - it's a platform that aims to foster a deeper connection between the brand and the motorsport industry, providing Gala Performance with the perfect vehicle (pardon the pun!) to strengthen their subject authority and build trust.

This launch is a significant milestone for Gala Performance, as it marks an exciting new chapter in their ongoing commitment to the motorsport industry. This venture is a testament to their passion and dedication to providing value to their customers, beyond the high value products they supply.

What to Expect from Gala Performance's Motorsport Magazine

GPQ is not your average motorsport magazine. Each issue promises to be a treasure trove of information, offering readers an in-depth exploration into the world of motorsport. Every three months, GPQ will dig deeper into the many different types of motorsport that fans and competitors enjoy every week across the world, from motorcycling to Club Racing to the spectacular world of drifting.

The inaugural issue, set to hit virtual and real shelves, will focus on helping beginners navigate the thrilling yet challenging motorsport landscape.

Expect articles like the "Motorsport Paddock Checklist," a comprehensive guide detailing everything you need as a competitor in the motorsport paddock, and "How to get into motorsport," which is an invaluable resource for aspiring motorsport enthusiasts who have maybe been to a couple of track days but want to take that next step into competing.

To further enhance Gala Performance’s credibility in the industry, the magazine will explore the brand and the people behind it; from Gala Tent's key sponsorship of Leeds-based superteam United Autosport back in 2016 to Gala Performance gaining a race team in their own right, through Mark Thompson and Andrew Scott (and more recently our very own Nathan Lord). They went from following star driver Christian England around Europe as he took the 2016 European Le Mans Series LMP3 title, to sharing a car with him at the record-breaking 24 Hours of Silverstone endurance race.

Another highlight of the premier issue is an exclusive interview with cover star Max Coates, a professional driver hailing from North Yorks. Through this interview, readers will get an insight into the life and experiences of a professional driver, providing them an authentic perspective of the motorsport world and the challenges that drivers face when trying to secure vital funding.

And of course, since the brief was to make the product brochure more engaging, there are editorial articles about the range of amazing race tents, flooring, walling systems and exclusively developed products available to buy from Gala Performance. We’ve shot for the stars with a seriously ambitious piece of branded content for them.

The Role of Sponsors in Motorsport and the Magazine

Sponsorship plays a significant role in the world of motorsport, providing financial support and valuable resources that help fuel the sport. Through GPQ, Gala Performance strives to shed light on this critical aspect of the industry.

One of the standout features in the magazine's first issue is the guide on 'how to get sponsored,' which has been written exclusively for the first GPQ issue by our own Ryan Bracha. This guide offers insights, advice, and strategies for aspiring motorsport participants seeking sponsorship.

By highlighting the importance of sponsorship in motorsport, GPQ aims to foster a deeper understanding among its readers about the business side of the sport. We also plan magazine also plans to feature interviews and stories from sponsors, offering readers an insider's perspective on the role and impact of sponsorship in motorsport.
